For best performance and longevity of your
Horstman or L/T oil clutch, proper break-in is crucial.
After your clutch has been blueprinted, the springs have
been pre-set so that the stall speed will be 8000-8500
RPMs. |
|
| |
Step 1:
Properly install your clutch on the engine, and make sure
the oil is at proper level |
| |
Step 2: Run a normal 8 lap practice
session |
| |
Step 3: after you come in, adjust
stall speed half way between recommended stall speed,
remembering a 1/4 turn clockwise (Horstman),
counterclockwise (L/T), is equal to 250 RPMs, and then
repeat step 2. |
| |
Step 4: Adjust to the recommended
stall speed. |
| |
Step 5: Change clutch oil and go
racing! |
